Our Journey Begins

In a few hours we will be boarding our flight that will take us to Athens. We are starting from San Francisco and then flying to Toronto on Air Canada. From there we will take the Lufthansa flight from Toronto to Frankfurt and then on to Athens. All direct flights were already booked when we reserved our flights so we have to take the longer route.

Our friends in Leros sent us an email yesterday, detailing the dinner menu they have. Hmmm... hint, hint. They know how much we enjoy trying different cuisine. But it was really unnecessary as we are already very exited about our trip.

I tried to finish some school projects before the trip but I ran out of time. Now I have to work in between and during the flight and get the homeworks submitted before we go to the islands.

As a pre-departure celebratory dinner, we went to Red Lobster last night at Tanforan, a shopping mall near SFO. Matt had the spicy jumbo shrimps while I had the Steak, Lobster and Shrimp Oscar. It was delicious!!!!!! (And i got sick as soon as we returned to the hotel. Must be the lobster butter...)

Anyways, we will arrive in Athens in the evening so I will see you all then!

I did weigh myself yesterday morning. It was funny because in 2003, I gave Matt a small piece of paper where I wrote down my target weight for my 40th birthday. It was to be opened a year later on the day I turn 40. The day came and I begged Matt not to open it. Until yesterday morning.....five years later.

It was right on target! Woohoo!
