Eagle Point Dive Resort in Anilao, Batangas is a very popular resort. Their website looks really nice and the pictures of the cottages by the beach looked very inviting. Overall, it had potential so we trekked there yesterday morning to investigate.
I was already disappointed when we reached Batangas City and we had to navigate the narrow roads and small towns. I can't picture how we can get a busload of 60 people through that. But we thought that maybe Eagle Point transports their guests via boat from a pier in another town.
We arrived at Eagle Point and parked. I can already tell that Matt wanted to go back home. We waited for the resort's "shuttle" to pick us up from the parking to the guest houses/restaurant. It took 20 minutes for the transport to arrive. We were both ready to walk down the winding trail but the security guard said we cannot. You can just imagine Matt's reaction to that!
The restaurant was okay and the front desk manager was helpful. Unfortunately, the only way to get to the resort was by land. Ooopss... We didn't even bother with lunch. We asked the driver to take us back to our car and we left for Manila.
Hmmm... Coco Beach is getting more and more attractive. Who needs hot water anyway. Right, Jaja?
On Saturday, Matt is going to Grande Island in Subic to check it out before flying back home that night.
Me...I'll be home with Nikita watching the Lawrence Welk show on PBS. Sans mosquitos and bugs.
