What's with this weather? Will the snow ever stop? At least give us a few hours of sunshine in the morning so we can ski...
Niki and I went snowshoeing again today. It took us a while and careful maneuvering to find a parking spot by Nevada beach. I spotted a "cleared sidewalk" right across the Lady of Lake Tahoe Catholic church which looked like a nice place to park. Somebody even cleared the entrance to the bike path! And it looked like people have been cross-country skiing and enjoying the snow. I drove on and decided to park near Elk Point Club. One spot. That is all we found. The snowplower wasn't in the mood to clear the campground's driveway for people to park. Oh well...
Niki jumped out of the car and went straight for her favorite pine tree. I wonder if that darn tree changes scent all the time... But she just had to "read the news" and check out which of her dog buddies have been at the campground. While I put on my new snowshoes (these ones are 25 inches long and has those swivel toes), Niki played with a couple of big, friendly dogs and rolled on the snow. Wish I had my camera. It kept conking out on me I decided to return it to Amazon.com and "demand" they replace this freebie they sent me. Hah! We'll see if they do.
I hope we get a bit of sunshine tomorrow. We can't wait.
