SuperBowl of a Snowstorm

Today is Superbowl Sunday. We were all set to go celebrate at our friends Ron and Colleen's house with the rest of the gang and Colleen's family who are arriving today from New Orleans. I heard from Matt that Ron was preparing fantastic Creole food (yummy!).

Well.. we can't go. WE ARE BURIED IN SNOW!!!

Last night, the last of the trifecta snowstorm arrived and dumped at least 3 feet of snow on our driveway. I cleared our deck yesterday morning for Nikita and this morning when I woke up around 6am, I had to walk out there several times to clear a path. The snow was up to my thighs and my poor dog was 'sinking'! We called for help to have our driveway cleared. It's just too much workout for Matt to do. Besides, it hasn't stopped snowing yet and it is very cold outside.

So...it looks like we will have to root for the NY Giants from our home.

And I'll keep on baking and cooking since we can't go out and party anyway...
