Calm after the Storm

We were so glad to have made the decision to leave early yesterday instead of braving the snowstorm today. We had a very relaxing night (although the KCRA was constantly giving updates of rain, thunderstorm, snow and gust for the next 48 hours). This morning, we woke up and had the same news--more gusty winds over the causeway towards San Francisco bay.

Lucky for us, the drive was uneventful. We left at 11:00 am from Rancho Cordova and drove to El Rancho Inn in Millbrae.

Our original plan was to have lunch over at Fisherman's Wharf and walk around a bit since our flight doesn't leave until 9:00 pm. Unfortunately, it was still windy over San Fran Bay and overcast. We took San Mateo Bridge instead of Oakland Bridge to Hwy 101 because of high winds over the bridges.
